CARE Vanuatu is part of the global CARE International confederation, which helps poor and vulnerable people in more than 93 countries around the world. CARE has been in Vanuatu since 2008, working with communities to build resilience to disasters and climate change shocks and increase women and girls’ involvement in community and national leadership.
“Laef Blong Mi, Vois Blong Mi” project
CARE Vanuatu is a grantee partner of the Australian Government through Pacific Girl, a multi-country program to support adolescent girls in Pacific Island countries achieve their full potential. CARE’s three year project, Laef Blong Mi, Vois Blong Mi (VBM) builds on CARE’s work in Tafea province, specifically, work on adolescent girls empowerment, life skills and promoting respectful, non-violent relationships. The project is being delivered in close collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and through secondary schools in Tafea province.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the T-shirt design is to bring out some of the values that the VBM project intends to instill into Adolescent girls in Tafea province aligned with the Project goals. This design was initiated by the Adolescent Girls Advisory Group and would be appreciated to be designed to a T-shirt to advertise the values that a girl child holds within and which she can bring to a team/ her society if she is given a chance to speak and be heard.
Selection Criteria
- CARE encourages applications from Ni Vanuatu graphic designer.
- Graphic design background
- Understanding in Gender Equality and/ or adolescent girl programming, preferably in the Vanuatu
