The Department of Climate Change, under the Ministry of Climate Change, wishes to recruit qualified personnel for the position below:
Job Title: Loss & Damage Project Officer
Annual Salary: 6,166,000 VUV
Work Location: Port Vila
Recruiting Department: Department of Climate Change
Qualification:
- A university degree in Environmental Studies, Climate Change, Project Management, Communication, Public Administration or another relevant field.
Skills Required:
- At least 3 years of experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects at various levels
- Strong skills in project planning, logistics, and activity coordination
- Experience supporting reporting, administration, and communication functions
- Understanding of Vanuatu’s climate change policies and institutional systems
- Experience supporting stakeholder engagement and awareness activities
- Familiarity with Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (MERL)
- Knowledge of procurement and budgeting procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools

Qualifications:
- Diplôme universitaire en gestion de projet, sciences de l’environnement, ou domaine connexe.
Compétences requises:
- Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience dans la gestion de projets complexes impliquant plusieurs parties prenantes
- Expertise avérée en gouvernance et en supervision financière
- Connaissance des cadres climatiques nationaux et internationaux, y compris l’Accord de Paris et le Fonds pour répondre aux perte et domage (FRLD)
- Capacité à intégrer les principes d’égalité des sexes, de handicap et d’inclusion sociale (GEDSI) dans la conception et la mise en oeuvre de projets
- Capacité à communiquer clairement et professionellement avec divers intervenants
- Maîtrise des outils Microsoft Office et des outils de gestion des données
