Utilities Regulatory Authority (URA) is seeking to recruit a Water Engineer to join its Engineering and Consumer Care Division (ECCD). This is a permanent position based at the URA Office in Port Vila, with occasional travel to other islands. The position will be subject to a six (6) months’ probationary period.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

•  A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least two (2) years’ relevant experience in water supply, water quality, water infrastructure, or water system operations—preferably with a utility or regulatory institution.
• Experience in regulatory compliance, field inspections, and technical assessments is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of water safety and reliability principles, standards, and best practices.
•  Experience in stakeholder engagement and reporting.
•  Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English and Bislama;
• some understanding of French is an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A valid driver’s licence would be advantageous.
