Role Overview
As the Warranty and Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of warranty claims and technical support services. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing efficient and effective resolution to technical issues, overseeing warranty procedures, and implementing strategies to enhance product reliability and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the warranty claims process from initiation to resolution, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries and support requests from customers, workshops, and internal stakeholders.
- Utilize your technical expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues, providing guidance and assistance to technicians as needed.
- Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to facilitate timely repairs and warranty submissions, minimizing downtime for customers.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the technical skills of service personnel and improve overall service quality.
- Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, repairs, and technical support activities, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to address product defects, quality issues, and warranty-related matters.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in warranty management and technical support.
Requirements:
- Experience (3+ years) in warranty process and management.
- Experience (5+ years) in technical support within the automotive industry.
- Strong technical background with expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of warranty systems and procedures.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations.
- Academic qualification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field will be an added advantage.
