Position Overview
Construction Vanuatu Group (CVG) is seeking an experienced Warehouse, Inventory & Purchasing Manager to oversee and manage all warehouse operations, inventory control, and procurement functions across multiple construction projects.
This is a senior, accountable role requiring strong systems knowledge, advanced computer literacy, and prior experience working within structured construction or trade-based organisations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate control of tools, materials, and stock, and for implementing and maintaining disciplined inventory systems aligned with Australian / New Zealand construction standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for warehouse management and operations
- Establish, maintain, and enforce inventory control systems
- Accurate tracking and control of all tools, equipment, and materials
- Signing tools in and out to staff and subcontractors, with full accountability
- Monitoring tool condition, loss, maintenance, and replacement
- Procurement and purchasing of materials and equipment
- Supplier coordination, pricing comparison, and purchase order management
- Organising and managing deliveries and site logistics
- Picking up and delivering materials to construction sites as required
- Maintaining accurate digital records and reporting to management
- Operating and maintaining inventory and purchasing systems within Simpro
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and internal controls
- Ensure start and finish time of all staff members
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience
- Ideally experience in the construction or trade industry
- High level of computer literacy and digital record keeping
- Experience using Simpro software or similar (essential)
- Strong understanding of stock control, procurement, and logistics processes
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities without supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within Australian or New Zealand environments
- Exposure to multi-project or high-volume inventory environments
- Experience managing tools and plant across multiple crews
