Job title: Valuer North

Salary Scale: PS 5.1
Purpose:
To Facilitate Valuation request as well as maintain and analysed sales information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior Valuer in the provision of the valuation data annually for municipal rating purposes in Port-Vila, Luganville, undertake valuation calculations and compile data for the valuation rolls.
- Undertake the measurements and produce on plan the locations of buildings, record the quality of construction and other information on all rateable buildings.
- Value urban and rural land for ground rent collection by the department.
- undertake maintenance or records on occupational usage, lease ownership, construction and costing data.
- Assist the Senior Valuer in the assessment on valuation if improvements and on rental levels for rural lands.
- Assist the Senior Valuer on giving sound advice to Government departments on property acquisition.
- Compile the Valuation Reports for specific government projects.
- Liaise with Senior Valuer on valuation matters affecting the office of valuation and department.
- Assist the Senior Valuer to undertake valuation reviews from time to time as required by the Laws of the country.
- Compliance with the Code of Conduct of the department of Lands.
- Undertake any other duties / task as reasonably requested by the PVO, PLO, Director of Lands Survey & Records and/or Director General.
- Qualification: Degree in Land Management and/or Real Estate.
- Special Business Education: Land Management.
- Experience:Relevant work experience in land valuation.
