CARE International in Vanuatu (CARE Vanuatu) has a focus on Gender Equality, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), Humanitarian Preparedness and Emergency Response and Recovery.
CARE Vanuatu is currently seeking individuals for these following positions:
1. Program Quality Coordinator
Based in Tanna, you will ensure that all project teams in the Tanna office receive high quality support to strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning within their projects, as well as supporting teams to ensure that they are applying CARE’s program policies and systems effectively to strengthen program quality. The Program Quality Coordinator will also support senior roles within the Tanna office to represent CARE programs in relevant coordination forums, and will play an active role in the Tanna Coordination team.
Travelling is also required to other field sites.
2. Data Management Officer
This position will ensure that all project teams in the Tanna office are effectively collecting, managing and utilizing the data related collected through their project MEAL frameworks. Part of your role will support all project teams to ensure that data management is planned in line with a centralized data management system, and that teams are collecting, entering and utilizing data regularly to strengthen program quality.
This is a Tanna based role with some travelling required to other field sites.
3. Gender Equality Team Leader (Leftemap Sista 2)
Based in Tanna, you will be responsible for overseeing the Australian government funded Leftemap Sista 2, a key project under CARE’s Gender Equality Program in Tafea province. This includes leading a team of project staffs to ensure smooth implementation through good planning; close coordination with all stakeholders, both internal and external; support for monitoring and learning processes; and timely reporting. It also involves ensuring close coordination with and support for CARE’s other Gender Equality projects in Tafea, currently including CARE’s Young Women’s Leadership Program and Pacific Girl; as well as supporting coordination with CARE’s resilience, emergency response and governance projects in Tafea.
Significant travel required to other field sites in Tafea Province and Port Vila.
4. Gender Equality Team Leader (Helti Kakae / SAFEST (Safe and Strong Families in the Erromango Sandalwood Trade)) – Re advertisement
This is a Tanna based role with significant travel required to Erromango, and some to Port Vila.
The role will be responsible for overseeing the European Union funded Helti Kakae, Helti Famili project activities in Tanna, along side the New Zealand Government funded Safe and Strong Families in Erromango project activities in Erromango.
This includes leading the project team to ensure smooth implementation through good planning; close coordination with all stakeholders, both internal and external; support for monitoring and learning processes; and timely reporting. It also involves ensuring close coordination with and support for CARE’s other Gender Equality projects in Tafea, currently including CARE’s Young Women’s Leadership Program, Leftemap Sista, and Pacific Girl; as well as supporting coordination with CARE’s resilience, emergency response and governance projects in Tafea.
