TECHNICIAN – ICT SOLUTIONS
Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking for a Technician – ICT Solutions based in Port Vila.

Mission
The main mission of the Technician – ICT Solutions is to provide presales support by designing and costing out ICT solutions that meet the needs of our business customers. This includes implementing these solutions and providing after-sales support, both on-premises and for cloud solutions.

Functions

  • Support the Sales and Corporate team by:
    ➢ Understanding business needs and issues through discussions with key accounts.
    ➢ Recommending appropriate solutions and services that Vodafone Vanuatu can deliver.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of business solutions for SME, Corporate, and Government customers.
  • Collaborate with other account coordinators to ensure a unified approach across all Vodafone Vanuatu accounts.
  • Identify high-quality products from different vendors. Analyse, evaluate, and make recommendations based on quotations.
  • Produce high-quality proposals and presentations/product demonstrations based on customer requests.
  • Negotiate with clients to finalize pricing and terms.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction by acting as an escalation point and communication channel for major issues.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve these issues.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships within Vodafone Vanuatu to foster information and experience exchange across all levels. This collaboration ensures leveraging the most appropriate skills for any solution.
  • Generate weekly and monthly dashboards reporting on visits, leads, sales, and projects.
  • Perform maintenance on ICT solutions installed at customer premises.
  • Contribute to building the competency of the ICT team through regular training activities.

Competencies:
1. Knowledge

  • At least five years of experience in the telecommunications field, with a certificate in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent qualification.

2. Skills

  • Fluent in English, French, and Bislama with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint Presentation.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures.
  • Customer and service oriented.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license.

3. Personal Characteristics

  • Strong ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Loyal, dedicated, and demonstrates a strong work ethic.
  • Honest and reliable.
  • Available to work during emergencies and urgent situations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
