Technical Person required to write implementation documents for a Draft Chemical Safety
Contract for Two months
Description of work
The Department of Environmental Protection and Conservation ( DEPC ) has a draft drafting instructions for a Chemical Safety Act ( CSA ).The draft instructions for the Chemical Safety Act was developed through funding from the UNEP special program under the project ” Strengthening the institutional capacity of chemicals and Waste ”.The draft chemical Safety Act includes the management of chemicals under the chemical and Waste conventions; Basel, Rotterdam, Stockholm and Minamata. The DEPC therefore is seeking a Technical person who can view the draft instructions for the CSA and identify relevant documents that can be developed to support the implementation of the CSA when it is approved by the Vanuatu parliament.
Key Responsibilities :
- View draft instructions of CSA Act and produce a list of documents to be developed.
- Develop the documents
Selection Criteria :
- One year plus of previous experience in same area is preferred
- Background in science and law or other similar area
- strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent team work skills
Salary : To be negotiated with successful person.
