Contract TECHNICAL ADVISOR
Job Description
The Ministry of Tourism, Trade, Industry, Commerce and Ni-Vanuatu Business, is seeking the services of a Technical Advisor (individual) to undertake a 30 days contract. The Technical Advisor will be responsible for undergoing consultation, planning and developing a strategy as specified by the Department of Industry.
The Department of Industry will require the Technical Advisor (TA) to consult, plan and develop a strategy that will benefit Music Industry. Key factors to be included in the scope of work are:
1. the technical advisor will work to design a road map that outlines the expected deliverables, timelines and milestones that culminate in the successful execution of this project.
2. the technical advisor will prepare a schedule of discussions and consultations with relevant Vanuatu Government officials, private sector, international partners, committees, taskforces and members of the music industry.
3. the technical advisor will establish and create good relationship with relevant Government agencies, NGO’s, Music Industry members and other relevant stakeholders.
4. the technical advisor will draft the Music Industry Strategy, constitutional and other relevant strategic documentation to outline the Government’s support to the future of the music industry in Vanuatu.
5. the technical advisor will also provide general advice by referring any music industry member to the Vanuatu Intellectual Property Office for legal documentation and advise
6. the technical advisor will assist in the implementation of the newly drafted Music Industry Strategy.
7. the technical advisor will assist the Vanuatu Government to establish a monitoring and evaluation program to measure the success of this project..
