Job Description
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism wish to recruit for the Department of Industry one qualified and experienced Technical Adviser (TA) to provide the following below.

Position: Technical Adviser
Selection Criteria
1. Qualification:
Degree or Masters
2. Special Education:
Geospatial Science, GIS, ArcGIS workflows, Applied Rural and Agricultural Geography or related fields in natural sciences
3. Experience:
At least ten years’ experience in analytical and practical work in Geospatial Science, GIS, ArcGIS workflows, Applied Rural and Agricultural Geography
4. Special Skills:
Computerized system and application designed for storage, retrieval and analysis of geographic referenced data, Cartography and Geo-visualization, Pacific Island Environment remote sensing methods, Analytical Spatial modelling, GPS data collection and integration, Internet Mapping; Field surveying, Mapping and sampling applications to support data from field surveys, numerical data analysis and problem-solving specific to quantitative research in Agricultural Geography, classical descriptive and inferential statistics in Agricultural Geography and related disciplines.
5. Thinking Style:
Good Practical Thinker and Analytical
6. Behavioral Competency:
Good verbal and written communication skills
7. Communication/ Interpersonal Skills:
Team building skills, negotiating and influential, good communication skills.
8. Language:
Proficient both in writing, speaking and reading in English or French and Bislama
