Full-Time SOUS CHEF
Job Description
The Espiritu Hotel is looking for an experienced Full Time Ni-Vanuatu Sous Chef. The candidate will be assisting the Head Chef to overlook the entire operation of the kitchen and will be working closely with the Head Chef and FOH to ensure smooth F&B operation.
Responsibilities:
- Directing the entire menu process from planning, costing, portioning, cooking to plating presentation
- Creativity with menu planning with a focus on seasonal produce
- Delegating tasks to ensure prep work and a clean & tidy kitchen is always up to standard
- Attention to detail with strong focus on food consistency & portion control
- Timely ordering of goods to ensure supplies are well stocked at all times
- Ability to improvise if certain equipment and/ or ingredients are not available
- Arrange for repairs and servicing when required
- Training and nurturing of the kitchen team
- Leading the environment for a passionate and enjoyable workplace among co-workers in the kitchen.
