Job Description
Background
The Government of Vanuatu, with funding from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Japan Fund for Prosperous and Resilient Asia and the Pacific, the Ireland Trust Fund for Building Climate Change and Disaster Resilience in Small Island Developing States, will implement a project that aims to address the immediate needs of vulnerable groups affected by COVID-19, while building their resilience to withstand
further pandemic impacts and other external shocks in the future. The project has two outputs: (i)
Output 1: food security and income generating support delivered to poor and vulnerable women, and (ii)
Output 2: multidisciplinary responses to address GBV implemented.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
The qualifications for the consultant include the following:
Bachelor’s degree in social services, business, public administration, education, or other relevant fields; (ii) five years of general work experience including at least three years in project management working for government agencies, semi-government agencies, non-government organizations, or international development; (iii) excellent time management skills and attention to detail; (iv) excellent oral and written English skills; oral Bislama skills optional but advantageous; (v) excellent interpersonal relations, planning, coordination, and teamwork skills; (vi) prior experience in working with ADB will be preferred.
