Job Description

Our Client is seeking an experience Senior Project Manager to provide leadership and direction across project and the project teams in Vanuatu, Providing the link between their front line workforce, their clients and the communities in which they operate.

Day to day you will be responsible for:

• Managing resources including staff, plant, suppliers, subcontractors and materials
• Supporting and mentoring the project teams and company staff
• Establishing, managing and developing strong relationships with customers and clients
• Ensuring commitment to zero harm, HSE and environmental compliance
• Managing project budgets and Financial project reporting using JD Edwards & JobPac Software
• Quality Management
• Risk and Quality Management

This is a senior role and you will need:

• The ability to drive profitability and result through operational excellence on time and to budget
• Board engineering knowledge with demonstrated experience across a diverse range of engineering and building construction projects of various sizes
• High level of emotional intelligence to work with and build strong relationships with employees, clients, subcontractors, stakeholders and walks the talk
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience in leading, facilitating and inspiring a team of project staff
• Proven management experience with responsibility and accountability for employees, plant and return on investment
• Excellent commercial acumen
• Demonstrated history in developing a culture of Zero Harm
• Bachelor’s Degree qualifications in engineering or construction management from a recognised Australian or NZ University
• 25 + years Project Management experience with suitable employment references
• Strong track record in the delivery of successful projects including large projects of values exceeding Two billion vatu
• To pass a pre-employment drug test & medical.
