SENIOR IP ENGINEER
Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking for a Senior IP Engineer based in Port Vila.

Mission
The Senior IP Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and
maintaining our IP networks, ensuring efficient and reliable data transfer across our organization.

Main Duties

• Design, deploy, and optimize large-scale IP network infrastructure, including core, edge, and
  access networks.
• Configure and manage routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS) for efficient traffic routing and
  network stability.
• Implement and manage Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize network traffic for different services (voice, video, data).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure network uptime and performance.
• Perform capacity planning and recommend network upgrades to accommodate future growth
  and evolving technologies.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and
  procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, security, engineering) to ensure seamless
  network operations and service delivery.
• Stay up to date on the latest IP networking technologies, standards, and best practices.

Competences:
1. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IP network design, implementation, and operations.
• Proven experience in configuring and managing routing protocols.
• Strong understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and network security principles.
• Experience with network troubleshooting methodologies and tools (Wireshark, traceroute, ping).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Holds a valid driving license.

2. Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
• Experience with network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Bash scripting).
• Experience with SDN/NFV technologies.
• Familiarity with specific telecommunications network architectures (e.g., IMS core, EPC).
