Full-Time RISK AND COMPLIANCE LEAD

Job Description

We’ve been working in Vanuatu for more than 25 years supporting the community in areas of health, community education and training, community development, water supply resource development, pre-school education and direct promotion of children’s rights

Where you come in:
In this full-time position based in Port Vila, you will lead risk management, internal audit and compliance functions for Save the Children Vanuatu. You will be part of the Senior Management Team and report to the Country Director.
You will make an impact by:

  • Developing and rolling out registers and plans
  • Proactively managing risks by making the risk management an integral part of operations / mainstreaming and by embedding into existing governance mechanisms
  • Undertaking assessments, conduct trainings for Focal Points, provide advisory to SMT and staff.
  • Identifying gaps and recommending changes to policies, guidelines and manuals as necessary.
  • Facilitating cross country learning & knowledge sharing

You possess ability to lead change, are reliable, can remain focused under work pressure and encourage collaboration. You are proactive and able to work with minimal supervision. The role is fitting for someone with attention to detail, has excellent excel and presentation skills, adaptable to changing environment and can be trusted.

This role requires:

  • +5 years of managerial experience in a reputed audit firm, or on a similar role
  • Bachelor’s in Management, Business, Commerce (or a relevant field) OR a CPA
  • Should be competent to manage large sets of data and various platforms / applications
  • Excellent excel & presentation skills
