Job Description

RESTAURANT FLOOR STAFF

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, order taking, and handling payments.
Experience in working effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Food handler’s certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Additional certifications in hospitality or customer service may be advantageous.

Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and provide exceptional service.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently, especially during busy periods.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order taking and fulfilling customer requests.
Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns or resolve issues promptly.
Teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with other staff members to deliver a seamless dining experience.
Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately.
Adaptability and flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

BAR POSITION

Experience:

Previous experience working in a bar or similar hospitality environment, preferably in a restaurant setting.
Familiarity with bartending techniques, cocktail preparation, and drink recipes.
Experience in handling cash transactions, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar.
Ability to work efficiently during busy periods, such as happy hours or weekends.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Bartending certification or training from a reputable institution (not always required but highly beneficial).
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) or equivalent certification, depending on local regulations.
Knowledge of basic drink mixing techniques and familiarity with popular cocktails and alcoholic beverages.

Skills:

Excellent customer service skills to engage with guests, take orders, and make personalized drink recommendations.
Proficiency in mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
Ability to operate bar equipment, such as cocktail shakers, blenders, and pour spouts, safely and efficiently.
Strong multitasking abilities to handle multiple drink orders simultaneously and prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in measuring ingredients and garnishing drinks.
Knowledge of proper sanitation and hygiene practices to maintain a clean and safe bar environment.
Effective communication skills to interact with customers, collaborate with colleagues, and relay orders to the kitchen staff.
Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns, resolve conflicts, and handle difficult situations diplomatically.
