VACANCY NOTICE: Principal Human Resource Officer
The Port Vila City Council (PVCC) is re-advertising this vacancy.
The PVCC is keen to recruit a suitable candidate for the exciting role of Principal Human Resource Officer within the Organization.
The purpose of this position is to ensure appropriate processes and guidelines are adhered to in accordance with the PVCC Staff Manual, the Vanuatu Employment Act Cap 160 and other appropriate legislations and regulations.
The Principal Human Resources Officer in collaboration with line managers will be responsible for the development of human resources systems, policies, and practices to attract, recruit and retain staff.

Location: Port Vila, Vanuatu
Candidates with the following qualification and experience are eligible to apply:
Education/Training : Bachelor of Commerce, Human Resources Management and Employee Relations (Level 7)
Experience : 3 -5 years of experience
Language : English, French & Bislama (Read and Write)
Competencies
- Expert knowledge of procedures and sound knowledge of field of work discipline with significant experience
- Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office
- Displays strong leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well to people at all levels
- Proactively builds and maintains constructive working relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to write official documents including reports and letters
- Uphold highest level of confidentiality, privacy and integrity to protect the Council
