World Vision Vanuatu has been selected as the Australian Humanitarian Partnership (AHP) Consortia lead.  The AHP supports effective collaboration and coordination between the Australian Government,the Vanuatu Government, and Vanuatu-based INGO partners.   Between them, they identify who is best placed to respond to a specific disaster or humanitarian crisis.

We are currently looking for suitable, qualified, experienced, and highly motivated professionals to fill this position.

Consortia Program Quality & Communications Manager

The Consortia Program Quality & Communications Manager will be based in Port Vila, Efate with up to 20% travel to field locations. This position will lead Consortia program quality & communications management. This position ensures grant program quality requirements are met while acting as a communications hub to facilitate learning, communications and visibility of AHP programming.

This role will be responsible to:

  • Lead program quality initiatives including reporting, proposal development and capacity building of partners
  • Supporting AHP consortium partners to engage effectively with their current and potential partners, in alignment with agreed program quality standards and established communications roles.
  • Manage consortia communications needs and visibility
  • Organize and facilitate PIC /PIC+ meetings and communicate results to DRCC and Consortia Team Lead
  • Implement Learning Agenda and maintain resource Library
  • Support stakeholder engagement strategies and advocacy messaging
  • Other administrative and coordination tasks as assigned by Consortia Team Lead

The required skills and knowledge are;

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or communications -related field
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in Program Quality, M&E or Communications roles
  • Experience working with a diverse team.
  • Strong planning, organisational and project management skills and ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks.
  • Advance communication skills (media, social media, design)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication – fluency in English required and Bislama is an advantage.
  • Experience in programme or project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
  • Ability to work gracefully under pressure.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, email and Internet and communication tools
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems, persuade, network and negotiate.
  • Strong desire and willingness to learn new skills and systems

The required skills and knowledge are;

  • Vocational training degree (preferably in a communication related field).
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in communications, media and public relations roles. Strong skills in social media management, content creation,
  • photography, and video editing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe creative Suite and other design tools
  • Advanced communications technical skills such as, editorial, graphic design.
  • Basic level of computer proficiency, Mac and PC, including editing skills across Adobe and Apple software for video, photo, media, and design
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible to work in a dynamic work environment.
  • Creativity in developing relevant marketing content
