Job Description
The Ministry of Finance & Economic Management wishes to recruit experienced and qualified person to fill the following position:
Department: Price Monitoring & Consumer Affairs
Position Title: Chief Executive Officer
GRT scale: DIR 2.1 (4,682,900)
Term Duration: 4 years
Terms of Reference (TOR)
1 Qualification: MBA with over 10 years of experience in a managerial to a director’s level. Knowledge of the Government system and processes will be an advantage.
2 Education: Accounting, economics, Commerce or Business Management post graduate
3 Experience: Private sector experience and understands costing structure of a business enterprise
4 Management/ Supervisory skills: Be able to manage staff on tight schedules. Must be able to work long hours and outside of Port Vila
5 Special skills: Report writing, analyzing data, prepare board agendas, take minutes of the board, must be able to run workshops for both traders and consumers and be attentive to details. Has good communication skill and dialogue. Must have the interest of the consumers of Vanuatu at heart and be able to strike a balance between both traders and consumers.
6 Thinking Style: Fast thinker, analytical and be creative.
7 Communication/ Interpersonal Skills: Must be strong on both oral and written communication skills
8 Behavioral Competencies: Be of good character
9 Language: English or French and Bislama
