PRODUCT MANAGER
Vodafone Vanuatu is seeking for a Product Manager based in Port Vila.

Mission:
As a key driver in the commercial department, the Product Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving sustainable revenue growth through innovative product and service development. Leveraging market research and customer data, you will develop and launch offerings that not only meet customer needs but exceed expectations. This will be achieved by:

  1. Expanding Vodafone’s customer base through targeted strategies.
  2. Continuously improving Vodafone’s brand image with the right marketing mix.
  3. Developing effective Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies to reach new audiences.

You will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from initial market research and product roadmap development to launch and ongoing optimization. You will collaborate cross-
functionally with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and drive sales growth.

Activities:
1. Product Management

  • Conduct market research and analyze customer data (including online behavior) to identify product opportunities and inform product roadmaps (mobile BB, fixed BB, and fixed telephony offerings).
  • Define product vision, goals, and user stories, ensuring alignment with business objectives, the ICT framework, and a seamless e-commerce experience.
  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, prioritizing features, creating user stories, writing product specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, marketing, and e-commerce).
  • Develop and implement innovative product lines and service packages that cater to online customer needs and buying preferences.
  • Define and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) and Return-To-Market (RTM) strategies for new and existing products, with a strong focus on e-commerce channels.
  • Ensure product information, pricing, and promotions are optimized for online visibility and conversion on Vodafone’s e-commerce platform.
  • Conduct A/B testing and analyze data to measure product performance on e-commerce channels, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions.
  • Develop and communicate product roadmaps to stakeholders (executives, marketing teams, and e-commerce teams).
  • Track industry trends and stay up-to-date on the latest product management methodologies specific to the telecom sector, with a focus on e-commerce best practices.
  • Monitor product performance using KPIs and dashboards related to online sales, customer satisfaction, and website/app user experience.
  • Ensure all Vodafone staff are well-versed in Vodafone products and services through appropriate training programs.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with TRR rules and regulations throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide regular reports on product health, market trends, competitor analysis, and e commerce performance, informing strategic decision-making.

2. Device Management

  • Manage the device category and portfolio based on local market demand, brand strategy, and price optimization for e-commerce channels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with device manufacturers and partners.
  • Manage the negotiation and delivery process for the device portfolio, ensuring efficient online availability.
  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to inform device pricing and bundling strategies for e-commerce.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels for devices and related accessories, considering online sales trends.
  • Provide monthly updates to management on device performance, market trends, new glob device launches, and their impact on e-commerce strategy.
  • Collaborate with retail, consumer, and corporate teams to understand their device needs a
  • provide support, including e-commerce considerations.
  • Conduct regular device training for the team to ensure they are knowledgeable about product features and offerings, with emphasis on online sales.

3. E-commerce Management

  • Develop and manage the e-commerce strategy for telecom products and services, ensuring a seamless customer experience across all online channels.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce team to optimize product listings, pricing, promotions, and content for online sales.
  • Manage online marketing campaigns for telecom products and services to drive traffic and conversions on the e-commerce platform.
  • Analyze website and app user behavior data to understand customer needs and identify areas for improvement in the e-commerce experience.
  • A/B test different e-commerce features and functionalities to optimize conversion rates and revenue generation.
  • Partner with other departments (e.g., customer service, logistics) to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer service for online purchases.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for e-commerce channels, such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest e-commerce trends and best practices to continuously improve the online sales performance of telecom products.

Competences:
1. Qualifications (education/diplomas):

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably with a focus on e-commerce.

2. Skills and Personal characteristics

  • Proven experience in developing and launching telecom products and services.
  • Strong understanding of the e-commerce landscape, including online marketing channels, customer behavior, and best practices.
  • Solid understanding of the telecom sector, including mobile and fixed broadband technologies, data plans, and service offerings.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market research data, website/app user behavior data, and e-commerce performance metrics (conversion rates, average order value, customer acquisition costs).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, marketing, e-commerce, sales) and liaise with regulatory bodies.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges related to product development, online sales optimization, and customer experience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and meet project objectives.
