Introduction
The goal of the Vanuatu Health Program (VHP) is to support the Ministry of Health (MoH) achieve the health objectives of the NSDP and its commitment to the delivery of health services demanded at national, provincial, and local levels for a healthy, secure and productive population .The end of program outcomes (EOPOs) are:
(a) Ministry of Health (MoH) senior staff lead continuous improvement and strengthened accountability of the Vanuatu health sector; and
(b) MoH corporate services, public health and clinic services staff increase delivery of
equitable, accessible and better-quality essential health services
Information about position
The purpose of the role is to assist MoH to administer funds provided by Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) through a Direct Funding Agreement (DFA). The DFA is intended to support MOH to address priority funding gaps in the annual business plan. The Procurement and Finance Officer will form part of the VHP DFA team embedded within the MoH Finance Unit.
This role will assist MoH to meet all relevant Government of Vanuatu (GoV) finance procurement regulations in the management and administration of the DFA. The Procurement and Finance Officer will report to the DFA Finance and Procurement Manager and collaborate closely with DFA Finance and Audit Officer
