Job Description
Port Vila International School (PVIS) invites applications for Primary School Teachers and Secondary Teachers (especially Science and Business/Geography & History, but also other combinations) and an Assistant Principal (Secondary) to commence in Term 1 2022 (or earlier by arrangement). Versatile and resourceful teachers, who can teach a range of year levels are invited to apply for a 2-year contract position. We remain exceptionally motivated to identify suitable and high quality candidates within Vanuatu.

PVIS is an independent, not for profit, co-educational Early Education Centre to Year 12 (the last year of school in the Australian system) school located in Port Vila, Vanuatu with a student population of approximately 400 students. We proudly and exclusively teach the Australian Curriculum in Primary and Secondary, and the SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education) at Year 11 and 12.

Note: the Assistant Principal (Secondary) role is only open to Vanuatu citizens. We encourage Vanuatu citizens, and eligible teachers outside of Vanuatu to apply for the other roles.
Please note that Vanuatu’s borders are presently closed (we are Covid free!), so recruitment will be contingent on a number of factors.
