On-Call Chef for Vanuatu Red Cross Internal Catering Service
The Vanuatu Red Cross Society, is seeking applications from dynamic and highly motivated persons to immediately fill up the position of On-Call Chef for Vanuatu Red Cross Internal Catering Service.
Applicants are required to demonstrate the following:
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Proven experience as a chef or cook in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong culinary skills, capable of preparing diverse dishes, including breakfast items, sandwiches, salads and hot entrees.
- Knowledgeable about food safety and hygiene practices, preferably certified in food handling and sanitation.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interactions with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours as per the demands of catering events.
- Attention to detail and a dedication to delivering top-notch food and service to clients.
- Physical stamina and agility to endure prolonged standing, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks.
- Positive attitude and passion for culinary excellence, coupled with a readiness to learn and adapt to challenges.
