Full-Time OFFICER – WOMEN’S ECONOMIC JUSTICE (X5)

Job Description

This role is responsible for facilitating community development activities with community members in target communities (young women and men (18-25) and older woman and men (26+) with and without disabilities). This may include contributing to planning, organising and/or delivering training, contributing to development of sustainable pathways for the GIVE methodologies, working closely with other NGO, Government partners and service providers and conducting monitoring and evaluation activities including baseline and indicator tracking.

This position is based in Tanna with regular travel to field sites in Tanna and Tafea outer islands.

Your responsibilities will be varied and will include;

Ensure the effective and efficient implementation of women’s economic justice project activities according to the activity plan and budget, including preparation of detailed budget requests for each field trip and activities;
Mobilise community members to participate in project inception activities (including contributing to the review and updating of GIVE methodologies);
Mobilise communities and facilitate trainings on updated women’s economic justice activities

You will have

Minimum technical diploma and/or vocational training in rural development studies or gender and/or minimum 2-3 years relevant work experience, preferably in community based women’s economic empowerment work and/or activity implementation with an International Non-Government Organisation (INGO);
Fluent oral and written Bislama with excellent facilitation skills and good oral and written English.
Ability to analyse intricate information and produce concise and accurate reports;
Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills, including the ability to plan and manage workflows and balance competing priorities to ensure timely processing to meet deadlines in a complex environment;
Demonstrated ability to take direction and to work as part of a team;
Demonstrated experience in following standard policies, procedures and processes;
A willingness to learn about CARE, gender equality and women’s empowerment activities;
Proven ability in managing a budget and/or cash; and
Good Knowledge in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Excel, with Key board / Data entry and numeracy skills
