Monitoring & Evaluation Officer(M&E)-Strengthening Nature-Base Agriculture in Vanuatu
Role Purpose: Strengthening Nature-base Agriculture (SNBA) in Vanuatu is an EU funded, 30-months development action that has the overall objective of building local socioeconomic resilience in Shefa and Torba Provinces of Vanuatu by enhancing food security and improving productive land management. Live and Learn Vanuatu is seeking a Project Coordinator that will coordinate the overall technical and coordination support on the implementation of the Project and will serve as a focal person.
Term: The successful candidate will be on probation for 3 months and performance reviewed before securing a contract. The Contract will be on a one-year bases, effective from the date it is signed after the 3-month probation period and may be renewed for further periods based on staff performance. Salary will be negotiated during the interview to commensurate qualification and experience.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Specific essential and desired Qualifications, Skills and Experiences;
- Minimum qualification of Diploma or Degree in any Agriculture, Science or Social Discipline with at least 2 years of experience in field work
- Experience of conducting Research
- Knowledge and Understanding of Project Monitoring and Evaluation
- Collection and Handling of Data through MWater
- Experience of organising lesson-learning sessions
- Communication Skills for Presenting Monitoring findings
- Understanding of the current M&E Trends and especially M&E systems in development organisations
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To Supervise regular Data Collection through implementing partners and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validations
- To record, manage and preserve monitoring and evaluation data in a safe and accessible way
- To analyse and discuss findings based on regular monitoring data
- Provide Technical Support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations to the relevant Technical Advisors, Program Managers/Coordinators and Partners
- Ensure that implementation of Field Activities adheres to Strengthening Nature Base Agriculture Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
- Support the Strengthening Nature Base Program in conducting Farmer Group Baseline Surveys and KAP Surveys
- Participate activity in Programme Planning Process and Budgeting of the Programme Quality
- Support SNBA Team in developing the annual and quarterly M&E reports
- Support the Live & Learn Vanuatu in dealing with any other tasks as may be required
