Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain the mechanical and electrical systems of the tugboat.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the tugboat is in optimal condition.
• Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or electrical issues that arise.
• Collaborate with the captain and crew to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a marine engineer, preferably with experience on tugboats.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant maritime certifications and licenses.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and be on call as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with modern tugboat technology and systems.
• Additional certifications in specialized areas of marine engineering.
• Familiarity with maritime safety regulations and best practices.
