VACANCY NOTICE: Manager Town Planning & Infrastructure Development
The Port Vila City Council (PVCC) is keen to recruit a suitable candidate for an exciting role of Manager, Town Planning & Infrastructure Development within the organization.
The key role of this position is to plan, organize, lead, and control the affairs of Planning in Port Vila City. It is expected that the Manager will need to provide high level advise that is effective in ensuring that efficiency, accountability and greater productivity is achieved.

Candidates with the following Qualification and Experience are eligible to apply :
Education / Training : Bachelor’s degree or Masters in Urban & Regional Planning or other
relevant qualifications in urban land management and environmental
planning.
Experience : 3-5 years
Language : Ability to read and write in English, French is desirable and knowledge of Bislama

Details of the Position’s Responsibilities
As the Town Planning Manager, you will lead the integrated planning of development proposals to provide for innovative, affordable, sustainable and context-appropriate urban development. You will provide direction on complex, high profile planning/development issues that include development permit processing, bylaw amendment processing, and comprehensive development projects. The manager will liaise, collaborate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders in order to move development applications through legislatively required processes. Monitor and improve the City’s development processes to ensure a customer centered approach to service delivery using innovative and forward-thinking tools and methods.
It is desirable that candidate have proven leadership skills and a solid track record of planning accomplishments and innovation.
