About the role
- A key role in managing portfolios for small business and retail customers
- An opportunity to assist in review processes and identify opportunities to improve processes and customer service performance
- Reports to the Senior Manager Recoveries & Collection (SMRC)
Role Location: ANZ, Vanuatu
Role Type: Permanent, Full time
As a Manager Recoveries, you will handle a portfolio of Retail and Small Business customers with balances not more than AUD1M where customers who have been identified as requiring remedial action or as high risk. Your aim is to reduce the risk to the Bank whist maintaining the Bank’s reputation and high customer satisfaction. For those customers who cannot be rehabilitated back to financial wellness, you will obtain the highest level of recovery possible whist maintaining the Bank’s reputation. You will also raise and manage provisions in line with Credit Policy where a loss to Bank is likely.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following –
- Significant experience in credit, collections or recoveries or general business activities in a financial controller capacity
- Sound decision making skills and ability to negotiate and influence
- Ability to work with customers who are experiencing very challenging financial situations, display empathy whilst setting very clear expectations during courageous conversations
- Excellent technical skills in reporting, analysis, including advanced excel skills
- High level business acumen, in depth understanding of business financials and fundamentals
- Self-managing, self-motivated and excellent time management skills with sound capacity management knowledge preferable
