Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized director to join our growing organisation. The directors are generally responsible for the management of the company and they may exercise all the powers of the company. In this position, you will play a key role in departmental planning and oversee your team’s progress. You will be tasked with finding innovative ways to enhance productivity while ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations.
Duties
- Guide and approve the Company’s strategic direction, taking into consideration the Company’s risk profile.
- Appointing senior management
- Delegate the implementation of the company’s strategy to senior Management, oversee the execution of the strategy, and establish milestones to monitor the progress in reaching the objectives.
- Generate necessary reports for the executive team; read subordinates’ reports
- Reviewing company performance and determine course of action.
- Ensuring the effectiveness of the company’s audit and control systems
- Ensure that the company has an appropriate enterprise risk management system in place, whereby risks are identified, mitigated, assessed and managed appropriately.
- Accounting for the company’s activities to the shareholders
Key Skills Required
- Must be residing in Vanuatu or prepared to become a resident upon taking the role.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience are required in the financial services sector.
- Proven management and communication skills are key.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Must be familiar with cloud-based software and highly proficient in technology.
Candidates with a degree in finance, economics, software development, engineering, MBA, or other relevant fields will have an added advantage. - Well-versed in the rules and regulations of the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (VFSC) and the Vanuatu Financial Intelligence Unit (VFIU).
- Solid analytical and logical thinking.
- Excellent presentation and problem-solving skills.
- A good understanding of financial markets, online trading, Forex, leveraged investment, commodities, crypto currencies, stocks, indices, P&L, balance sheet, etc.
