Background
With funding from the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), the Vanuatu Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) is implementing the Education Sector Program Implementation Grant (ESPIG) from April 2021 – December 2023. The ESPIG supports key priorities within the Vanuatu Education and Training Sector Strategic Plan (VETSS 2020-2030), including improving access to early grade reading books, improving inclusive education, and strengthening pre-service teacher training. Save the Children is the GPE Grant Agent in Vanuatu, and provides fiduciary, operational, and technical support for all ESPIG activities.
To support the implementation of new teacher training qualifications, the program will fund additional lecturers for Mathematics and/or Sciences for two years. The new lecturers will develop, teach and assess teacher education courses in Mathematics (General Mathematics, Calculus and Statistics) and Science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Earth Sciences) to ensure these are aligned with the national school curriculum. They will also build the capacity of NUV-SOE lecturers and contribute to improving teaching practice.
Up to two positions are available depending on the candidate/s. The contract is initially one year and up to 24 months depending on performance. Preference will be made to bilingual (English/French) candidates. Women and persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Salary Range: 4.7 M VT – 7.0 M VT per annum + 25% benefits based on qualification and experience.
