Contract JUNIOR WATER ENGINEER
Job Description
The period of the contract will be from now until the end of June 2022. Subject to satisfactory performance there will be the opportunity to transition to a role with the DOWR water department unit in Luganville.
Duties will include, inter alia:
Working in support of specification and design of LUWSSP water supply project – including wells, pumps, water storage, transmission pipelines, water network management assets, data monitoring and communication
Field visits to gather system data
Working alongside DoWR operations staff
Establishing monitoring systems for flow measurement
Support to network model calibration activities – field measurement of flows and pressures
Contributing to the preparation of specifications and detailed designs for water supply and sanitation assets
Input to design of the sanitation program – Public & school toilets, septage treatment facilities
Review of bidding documentation for water supply and sanitation assets
Supervision of specialist survey contractors (Geotechnical, Topographical, Hydrogeology)
Documentation control management related to civil scope
Provide weekly reports on site activities and performance.
