Contract JUNIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our Luganville Water Supply and Sanitation project (LUWSSP) in Luganville (office located in Luganville Town). The LUWSSP is ADB funded and is proposed to be categorized as a gender mainstreaming project where project outputs contribute to addressing gender equality and/or women’s empowerment by narrowing gender disparities. Women are encouraged to apply for the role as part of the gender equality measures.
The period of the contract will be from now until the end of June 2022. The period of the contract will be from now until the end of June 2022. Subject to satisfactory performance there will be the opportunity to transition to a role with the DOWR water department unit in Luganville.
Duties will include, inter alia:
Working in support of specification and design of LUWSSP water supply project – including wells, pumps, water storage, transmission pipelines, water network management assets, instrumentation, data monitoring and communication
Field visits to gather system data and monitoring site activities
Support to remote control and management of water production and storage facilities
Working alongside DoWR operations staff.
Contributing to the preparation of specifications and detailed designs.
Participate in commissioning and testing of electrical, instrumentation and automation new or upgraded structures
Documentation control management
Provide weekly reports on site activities and performance.
