Contract Glass & Aluminium Ltd (CGA) is a leading supplier of aluminium windows, doors, glazing and architectural products in Vanuatu. As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are establishing a dedicated Joinery & Cabinetry Division and are seeking an experienced and motivated Joinery & Cabinetry Manager to lead this exciting new area of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about quality workmanship, team development and building a high performing manufacturing operation.
About the Role
The Joinery & Cabinetry Manager will be responsible for establishing, managing and growing the Joinery & Cabinetry Division, overseeing projects from estimating through to manufacture, installation and completion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing estimates and quotations
- Conducting site inspections and measurements
- Managing joinery, cabinetry and architectural timber projects
- Planning labour, production and installation activities
- Managing workshop operations and manufacturing processes
- Supervising installation teams
- Ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with company standards
- Managing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
- Training, mentoring and developing local employees
- Supporting the continued growth and expansion of the division
Skills & Experience
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Relevant trade qualification in Joinery, Cabinetmaking or a related trade
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
- Experience estimating and managing joinery or cabinetry projects
- Strong workshop and manufacturing knowledge
- Ability to read plans and specifications
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
