Position title: IT Officer
Located at: VANUATU CULTURAL CENTRE
Commencement: 2024
Qualifications
The IT officer will have a tertiary qualification (preferably Diploma or higher qualification in related field) and at least 3 years of IT experience. The IT officer will be able to work in all languages – Bislama, English or French.
Reporting lines
The IT Officer will report to the Vanuatu National Cultural Council through the Director.
Job Description
The IT Officer will:
- Maintain Cultural Centre ICT equipment.
- Provide ongoing ICT training and support for Cultural Centre Staff.
- Manage and update VCC ICT strategy.
- Advise Cultural Centre management on ICT purchases and resource use.
- Administer Cultural Centre local area network.
- Manage (build, modify and maintain) Cultural Centre Databases.
- Work with Cultural Centre sections to ensure databases are relevant and consistent.
- Work with other staff to create and maintain Cultural Centre website and web presence.
- Maintain inventory of Cultural Centre ICT equipment and relates supplies.
- Ensure security of Cultural Centre electronic data, network and computers. This will include making regular backups’ (local and off site) and protecting data and equipment from electricity fluctuations, extreme weather events, and malicious code such as viruses and spyware.
- Perform any other duties as required and requested by the Director of the Vanuatu Cultural Centre and other Section Managers.
• Salary scale: PS 5.1 – Annual Salary: VT 1,573,624
