Full-Time I.T. SALES & REPAIR (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
Job Description
Sharper Image is re-advertising the position of I.T. Sales & Repair to work in the I.T. section. The I.T. Sales & Repair will assist in customer service for I.T. clients, answering queries, providing technical advice and introducing new products.
I.T. Sales & Repair Responsibilities:
- Assesses client IT needs and makes recommendations, including IT equipment and service packages
- Demonstrates IT equipment to highlight product benefits
- Provides technical advice after sales
- Generating sales and meeting / exceeding sales targets.
- Introducing products to customers, with in-depth knowledge of features.
- Acquiring new customers and retaining returning customers in the I.T. Section.
- Research and recommend trending I.T. products and services to offer.
- Provide technical assistance, recommendation and services to all customers.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Ensuring all electrical safety standards are met.
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
- Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
- Performing tests and evaluations on new software and hardware.
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Daily organisation of I.T section in shop and preparation of stock to display.
- Conducting daily backup operations.
I.T. Sales & Repair Requirements:
- Diploma in Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in working with computer systems and I.T. sales & customer service.
- A keen interest in solving IT problems.
- Bilingual is an advantage but not compulsory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in database programming and software installation.
- Attention to detail.
