Job Description
“The Human Resource (HR) and Security Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting the operational effectiveness and safety of the Vanuatu Australia Health Partnership (VAHP) office and its staff. This position is integral to ensuring that VAHP recruits, develops, and retains high-calibre staff while maintaining a secure and safe working environment.
The HR aspect of the role focuses on managing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment, induction, and performance management to exit interviews. It also includes ensuring that cross-cutting issues such as gender equality, child protection, and workplace safety are integrated into all HR practices.
The Security dimension requires the Officer to oversee the implementation of security policies, conduct risk assessments, provide security briefings, and ensure the readiness of the VAHP team to respond to security incidents. This role requires a dynamic, proactive individual capable of navigating complex HR and security landscapes.
The HR and Security Officer will work closely with VAHP’s leadership team, local and international staff, and external partners to support the program’s health initiatives. This position is crucial for fostering a culture of inclusivity, professionalism, and safety, directly contributing to the program’s success and the well-being of its team members.”
