Full-Time GROUP LOGISTICS & INVENTORY CONTROLLER

Job Description

Magenta Holdings Limited, an importer, wholesaler, and retailer of FMCG products invites applications for the position of Group Logistics & Inventory Controller to be based in Vanuatu. The Group Logistics & Inventory Controller will play an important role in improving and maintaining the operations, inventory and logistics of the company including international shipping. The Group Logistics & Inventory Controller will ensure the company has the capacity and structure to meet its expansion plans as well as maintaining sound control.

The Group Logistics & Inventory Controller is responsible for:

  1. Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
  2. Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
  3. Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
  4. Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
  5. Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
  6. Lead others in safe work practices, especially when in a distribution center environment
  7. Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders
  8. Place and receive orders in a timely and accurate manner
  9. File claims when defective products are discovered
  10. Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
  11. Perform process and system testing and track performance by area to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency
  12. Establish trusted relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals
  13. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  14. Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
  15. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
  16. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  17. Arrange warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes and process shipments
  18. Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  19. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  20. Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 10 years experience in a FMCG company
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in working with a board of directors
  3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a logistics manager
  4. Proven skills in business management
  5. Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  6. Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  7. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  8. Ability to work independently and handle multiple warehouses and storage centers
  9. Demonstrated ability to manage, train and supervise staffs
  10. Proficiency with office computer equipment and software’s
  11. Ability to work 7 days a week including public holidays
  12. Demonstrated ability to multitask
  13. Understanding of FMCG brands and distribution agreements.
