Full-Time GENERAL MANAGER
Job Description
Magenta Holdings Limited, an importer, wholesaler and retailer of FMCG products invites applications for the position of General Manager to be based in Vanuatu.
- Provide leadership and vision to the company by assisting the directors and staff in establishing short term, long term and annual plans and with evaluation and reporting of progress on plans
- Recruitment and training of company staff
- Employee relations
- Ensuring compliance to regulatory concerns
- Ensuring market wide distribution of agency lines
- Opening of new markets
- Ensuring growth in the current market
- Customer relations
- New product development
- Regular achievement of company budgets
- Implement effective internal control policies
- Liaising with financial institutions and government agencies
- Purchasing and imports
- Developing company expansion plans and timelines
- Negotiating new distribution agencies
- Negotiating best terms for international shipping.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in business management, planning and financial oversight
- Minimum of 5 years experience in working with a board of directors
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales and marketing
- A minimum of a Degree in Accounting and Finance management
- Knowledge of International shipping
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Overseas Purchasing
- Knowledge of Vanuatu Import requirements
- Proven record of good business management
- Sound knowledge of Vanuatu market and consumer behavior
- Proven skills in business and finance management
- Demonstrated ability to manage, train and supervise staffs
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software’s
- Ability to work 7 days a week including public holidays
- Demonstrated ability to multi task
- Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situation
- Valid Driving license.
