About us:
We are a local player operations in Vanuatu more than 25 years. As part of its Pacific Islands growth strategy and owned by a family business group based out in New Caledonia, we are looking for a Finance & Procurement Manager to be located in Port Vila.
Your missions:
You will play a key role in financial and procurement management and ensure that staff and management receive high quality, professional and responsive services. You will also implement financial and procurement management policies, procedures and systems and ensure compliance with corporate and project standards as well as maintain oversight of day-to-day financial and procurement activities. You will be reporting directly to the Country Manager with a dotted-line to the Finance Director based out in New Caledonia.
In line with this role, you will be expected to fulfill the following assignments:
- Manage all financial, payroll, purchasing and procurement management activities, ensuring value for money
- Performing financial analysis to support optimizing the economic performance of the businesses
- Generating, reviewing, analysing and communicating financial data to reflect actual financial performance against budgets
- Piloting the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process
- Compiling and preparing entries to general ledger accounts and annual statutory filing as per local laws
- Preparing document accounting transactions and tax using procedures defined by internal & external stakeholders
- Accountable for organizing and ensuring integrity of monthly and annual stock takes
- Reviewing contracts, orders and vouchers for accuracy based on established policies and procedures
- Performing special projects as assigned
- IS/ IT coordinator.
What we are looking for:
You are accounting degree educated with CMA/CPA/ACCA certification and a minimum of 3 years proven success record at a similar position. Experience in this sector and/ or customer service oriented environment is an added value for this role.
This is a hands-on financial position requiring flexibility and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Structured, autonomous, you are looking for a new challenge which will enable you to evolve quickly in a highly passionate environment.
