Contract FINANCE ASSISTANT
Job Description
Position Title: Finance Assistant
Report To: Finance Officer
Under the supervision and direction of the Finance Assistant and in coordination with the DoWR Procurement team, support DoWR to be able to handle the additional WASH Cluster Emergency Response Funds.
Main Responsibilities & Task
- Deliver documents to MoFT and Reserve Bank
- File financial documents
- Ensure Government Financial Procedures are filed
- Fill out Green and LPO forms
- Obtain signatures from relevant authorities on correct documents
- Review receipts received and calculated liquidated sums in imprest retirements
- Support Financial officer and procurement team as requested
- Complete other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies
- University degree or certificate in Finance
- Ability to work autonomously and arrive at work at time each day on time and work complete 8 hours every day
- Knowledge in Microsoft Excel and Government of Vanuatu financial procedures
- Clear legible handwriting
- A minimum of 1-year experience with Government of Vanuatu Finance
- Fluency in Bislama (verbal and written) and English (verbal and written)
- Respect for men, women, and people living with disabilities.
