Full-Time FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

Savvy Vanuatu –  Port Vila, Efate

Job Description

Tahi Investments Ltd is a diverse business which includes the tour operator – Vanuatu Ecotours, the communications, marketing, and management consultancy – Savvy Vanuatu, and social media platform – Living In Vanuatu.

The principal responsibility of the Finance and Administration Officer is to professionally manage financial records for the businesses and maintain an organised office environment. The secondary responsibility is to manage administrative tasks, such as liaising with service providers and government agencies, and managing office assets. Additional responsibilities include supporting tour operations.
You will be expected to be able to work under limited supervision, complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, be organised, and maintain business and client confidentiality. Our office is based at Tassiriki, Port Vila.

Expected Outcomes

  • Financial records up to date and accurate
  • No missing receipts/ supplier invoices/ deposit slips etc
  • No outstanding debtors beyond 60 days
  • VAT returns submitted on time
  • Staff wages paid on time
  • Office assets not lost or damaged
  • Office organised, including SharePoint files

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Very good communication skills
  • Ability to use accounting software
  • Driving licence
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • A Ni-Vanuatu citizen
  • Three years or more work experience in a similar role

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Experience in the tourism industry and/ or marketing
  • Experience working with Vanuatu Government agencies
  • French language skills
  • Experience with Xero accounting software.
