Expert Consultant for Export Development Strategy 2022 – 2032
The Ministry of Trade, Tourism, Commerce and Ni-Vanuatu Business (MTTCNVB) through the Department of Industry is seeking the services of a Consultant. The objective of this Consultant is to develop an Export Development Strategy for Vanuatu as a guide for exports of Vanuatu Made products and to provide a stable policy direction to ensure the sustainability of the National Development Export Program.
The Consultant will be based in Port Vila, Vanuatu and is envisaged to work up to 40 Working Days, spreading over a number of months. Travels outside Port Vila and Efate are expected
The successful applicant will possess the following:
Professional Experiences:
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent drafting skills;
- Ability to gather and synthesize research materials and form sound conclusions;
- Good quantitative analysis skills, including proficiency in MS Excel;
- Strong economics and international trade background
- Analytical, practical and strategic thinking style
- Have a good understanding of the regional and international export markets to Vanuatu
- Good understanding in international export development
- Good understanding of the business environment in Vanuatu
- Experience analysing trade and firm level date is an asset
Education Background:
- University degree in international business, economics, business administration or
Equivalent
Language skills:
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Bislama. Good understanding of French would be an advantage.
