Job Description

The Warwick Le Lagon Vanuatu seeks a qualified and experienced candidate in the following position;

Executive Sous Chef

The candidate must poses a minimum of 5 year’s experience in a Managerial position preferably in a 4-5 star international hotel with the following attributes:

  • Prior experience in the same or similar position is a must
  • Tertiary education/ qualification in hospitality management especially in the area of Food & Beverages
  • International work experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food quality presentation and service
  • Possess strong knowledge and commitment in culinary skills, able to provide level of competency in this field
  • Knowledge of cost control, inventories and purchasing procedures
  • Knowledge of international purchasing sources and procedures would be an advantage
  • Able to demonstrate effective administrative, create production charts, recipe indexes with good communication skills and proficient in planning, organizing, budgeting and control
  • Computer skills an advantage
  • Knowledge and attentive to OHS standards in the workplace and able to adhere to them
  • Clear understanding of the Food Safety Laws and Hygiene standards
  • A decisive leader who focuses on building team spirit and achievement of goals
  • Experience in conducting training in this area is essential
  • Be able to work under pressure and be a team player.
