JOB DESCRIPTION: Engineering Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for all aspects of the Maintenance department to include the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment. Develop, coordinate, and monitor a rooms maintenance program to ensure the safety and comfort of all staff and guests. Supervise, train, and manage all Engineering staff.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
• Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
• Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
• Maintain inventory of all parts and supplies.
• Coordinate the maintenance repair and installation of carpentry work, and those duties related to carpentry
• Ensure safety regulations
• Supervise, assist, train and manage all engineering staff.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills – must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and or French
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Front Office System
• Problem solving, training and organizational abilities
• Strong leadership skills in managing teams
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, federal/local fire, water treatment programs, Blue prints, plumbing and wiring schematics
• Working knowledge of power and hand tools
• Must be able to work weekends and holiday
