EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

World Vision Vanuatu is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. In line with the Vanuatu Government’s National Sustainable Development Plan Vanuatu 2030: The People’s Plan, World Vision – in partnership with communities – delivers programs that are relevant, cost-efficient,
effective, and make a lasting difference.

TekemBak MamaKraon Project (TMK) funded by MFAT is a programme expected to enhance resilience at the community level by ensuring climate finance is reaching the community and supporting community mitigation and adaption. The programme’ s goal is to increase resilience to climate change disasters. It will support government, private sector, civil society, and communities in Shefa and Sanma to implement contextually appropriate measures supporting Vanuatu’s commitment to be a leader in Climate Change mitigation and adaption.

WVV is seeking to recruit the following positions to be based in Port Vila and Luganville:

  • Senior Development Manager (Based in Port Vila)
  • 2 x Development Facilitator (Based in Port Vila and Luganville)

The Senior Development Manager will:

  • Collaborating with the Portfolio Manager to lead project staff (Development Facilitator) to plan and implement effective and cost efficient programming across all provinces with the project.
  • Coordinating all partnership with local businesses, NGOs including the Vanuatu Recyclers and Waste Management Association to plan and implement relevant parts of the Project.
  • Coordinating all monitoring, and evaluation to a high quality for the project and support for the project to ensure deliverables are on time and of high quality.

An annual salary package of between VT2,211,852 to VT3,317,772 inclusive of all relevant benefits and annual leave, will be provided dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.

The Development Facilitator will:

  • Report to the Development Manager
  • Implement project activities according to the project design with a focus on ensuring the community has a strong understanding of and plays a strong role in achieving program outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders such as community members, community leaders and church groups.
  • Carry out ongoing monitoring of project activities and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.

An annual salary package of between VT776,664 to VT810,000 inclusive of all relevant benefits and annual leave,
will be provided dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
