EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

World Vision Vanuatu is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. Since 1981, we have been working to transform communities through delivering programming in education, health, water and sanitation, gender relations, agriculture, and resilient livelihoods. In line with the Vanuatu Government’s National Sustainable Development Plan Vanuatu 2030: The People’s Plan, World Vision – in partnership with
communities – delivers programs that are relevant, cost-efficient, effective, and make a lasting difference.

WVV is now recruiting for a Development Manager and a Development Facilitator for its NORISH Project funded by by IRISH Government. The Project supports by recognizing the ever- increasing impacts of climate change on the most vulnerable households and communities and sets to build resilience of vulnerable households particularly in relation to food and nutrition security. These two positions will be based in Port Vila – Efate.

1 x Development Manager

The Development Manager will:

  • Reports to the Climate Resilience and Livelihood Portfolio Manager
  • Manage project activities, including planning, implementation, and reporting.
  • Manage project staff, ensuring delivery of quality services in the community.
  • Work in partnership with communities to ensure that World Vision is delivering relevant quality programs.

An annual salary package of between VT1,440,000 to VT 1,800,000 inclusive of all relevant benefits and annual leave, will be provided dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.

1 x Development Facilitator

The Development Facilitator will:

  • Report to the Development Manager
  • Implement project activities according to the project design with a focus on ensuring the community has a strong understanding of and plays a strong role in achieving program outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders such as community members, community leaders and church groups.
  • Carry out ongoing monitoring of project activities and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.

An annual salary package of between VT776,664 to VT810,000 inclusive of all relevant benefits and annual leave, will be provided dependent on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
