Where you come in:
In this fulltime contract position based in Port Vila, Efate, you will be line manage by the Support Services Coordinator- Port Vila and supporting daily administration functions.
You will make an impact by:
- Work closely with all programs, management, and support services in providing support with general administration and logistical work
- Efficiently transport staff for work-related activities and to maintain the Organisation’s vehicles.
- Work closely with the Administrative Support Services Assistant to ensure effective management of other office maintenance issues.
- Commits and advocates for Save the Children’s purpose and values in all interactions
- Careful, accountable, responsible, punctual and has a high regard for safety
- A team player – friendly, caring, helpful, reliable
- Good personal grooming and professional presentation
- Willing to work irregular hours or overtime if required-for travel to communities
- Safe to work with or around children

…You have excellent driving skills, willing to learn, adhere to policy & guidelines and able to work as a team. Having basic knowledge in computing, flexible and happy to take on additional responsibility.
This role requires:
- Participate in Support Services meetings by sharing challenges, lessons learned and progress against plans.
- Participate in an annual performance review (and six-monthly mid-point checks) with your manager to track and discuss your progress.
- Transport any staff member using SCA vehicles as required for work-related activities, including out-of-business hours activities where pre-planned.
- Coordinate the pick-up of required materials or supplies as requested by staff members.
- Coordinate vehicle bookings and runs to ensure maximum cost effectiveness.
- Ensure all vehicles are always kept clean and usable, including washing all vehicles in and out at least weekly.
- Monitor and maintain the vehicle booking system and logbook.
- Responsible for renewal of compliance vehicle papers as required from authorities
- Assist the office cleaner in maintaining the warehouse / storage area
- Check and refill the water dispenser as required.
- Collecting mail and other post duties as required.
