Job Description
The Support Services Director is responsible for the overall administration of human resources, finance, ICT and supply chain of the country office in both emergency and development programming contexts. A key part of the role will be to ensure that the country office complies with Save the Children Australia’s financial policies and procedures applicable to the Pacific country offices, donor award conditions as well as implementing (when applicable) global standard operating procedures (SOPs) as developed by Save the Children International. The Support Services Director will be responsible for the implementation of SOPs relating to supply chain including procurement, asset management and accounting for gifts in kind (GIK). The position holder will work closely with the Director of Programs to ensure robust and effective management of awards with an emphasis on cost-effective and efficient procurement for program delivery. The Support Services Director will be responsible for the implementation of the in country HR manual and position holder will work closely with the Country Director to provide HR business support to line managers and design, implement and monitor a workforce development plan for the Country Office.
