Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic DIRECTOR OPERATIONS to join the Vanuatu Broadcasting and Television Corporation (VBTC). The Director Operations is responsible for the design and implementation of business operations as well as managing the policy, administrative, financial and day to day operational functions of the VBTC.
The Director Operations will be a highly effective communicator who can maintain high level productive relationships and foster an environment of trust, diversity and inclusion and collaboration in the workplace. With a strong focus on compliance, efficiency, service and profitability, the Director Operations is dedicated to achieving continuous business improvement and embodies the VBTC’s values-led culture, setting clear expectations and modelling successful behaviors.

The VBTC
The VBTC is Vanuatu’s only public service broadcaster. Its mission is to deliver content that informs, educates, and entertains all Ni Vanuatu citizens through online, radio and television services. VBTC aims to reach and respond to citizens and reinforce the national identity through the provision of public interest media and discussion.

Business operations – comprehensive understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, technical services and marketing. An in-depth understanding of Vanuatu’s changing media, commercial and government policy environment is highly desirable.

Desired Profile:
Proven experience as a Director Operations or at least 5 years of experience working in senior management within a corporation or other organisation. Qualifications in business administration, HR, Finance, Technology/IT and/or marketing.
